Rose Valley Friends is blessed with a large and active youth group. These are some of the classes and activities available for them.
These classes meet during the school year, September - June. Contact the church office for a schedule of summer activities for youth.
Middle School Sunday School: The M.S. class, led by the dynamic teaching combo of Teri Moore and Sally Hembree, is focusing on how to apply our walk with Christ into daily living. This class for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students, meets every Sunday morning, 9:30 am, in Room 4.
High School Sunday School: For grades 9 through 12, this class will be helping each student to learn to hear and see God at work in their lives, as well as learn to walk in the path He has set for them. Taught by Owen & Rachel Bradley. Class meets Sunday morning, 9:30 am, in Room 7.
Wednesday Night - High School Youth: Teens in 9th through 12th grade will be meeting at the church on Tuesday nights, 6:30. Leaders are Owen & Rachel Bradley. For more information, call the church office at 425-3222.
Wednesday Night - Middle School Youth: Middle School Youth Group begins the evening at 6:00 PM with dinner (donation basis). Then the youth activities begin at 6:30 in Room 4, led by Brian Cummings. For more information, call the church office at 425-3222.
Other activities open to youth are the “Get-Away, Give-Away” mission trip to Mexico during spring break, the “24-hour Famine” fund raiser, and camps offered through Northwest Yearly Meeting.
Attention High School Seniors:
If you are interested in applying for the Jabusch Family college scholarship, applications can be obtained from Kelso High School guidance counselor or at the church office. To qualify, you must live in the Rose Valley community or regularly attend RVFC Sunday School, Church or Youth Group and you plan to attend a 4-year college, community college, trade school or business school.
If you are planning to attend George Fox University in the Fall, and wish to apply for church matching funds, please notify the church office by June.
